I planted some Moon Flower seeds that Harlen Breeden gave me earlier this year but they didn’t come up – so I just put them to one side and ignored them. Well behold, a few weeks later I had six healthy moon flower plants.
I gave five away to friends and just kept one. This has been blooming for a couple of months now. The flowers are huge. They are called moon flowers because they only bloom when the sun goes down – however I have discovered that they bloom when it is cooler like early mornings too and cooler days. It always has about 20 flowers at any given time but they only last a day or two. They are not cold hardy where I live but they reseed themselves so we will see.
